We might as well make sure it’s Real Good.
Real Good AI is a 501(c)3 nonprofit created by content creators and scientists for the problems real people have in the REAL world with AI. We are doing the hard research, education, and advocacy to change the direction of AI for a brighter future.
Originally funded by Markiplier, and with Board President Muyskerm, we are not the usual ivory tower research organization. Human creativity is not a side note in society: without it, the future isn’t worth it. We focus on the intersection of AI and creativity in media so that artists have a seat at the table for future technology development. We believe AI is a tool, not a replacement for human creativity and should stay out of the rest.
The Current Direction of AI Sucks

Hearing our name makes you cringe. We totally agree.
The current companies leading the way on AI are making bad decisions. They are stealing data, solving problems no one asked for, destroying the environment, and frankly acting irresponsibly for the human race just to make some money. Further, the actual (Neural Network) models they are using are unexplainable, need too much data, need too much power, and are just plain wrong too often. Our research cruxes on imparting mathematical structure to replace these models to alleviate these issues. We are not going to lie: this is an incredibly ambitious goal and we can’t do it alone.
AI CAN Help
As much as current directions of AI are just so bad, AI could also be a tool for good. As science is defunded, it is even more important to keep scientists working on the hard, unprofitable but vital problems to humanity’s future. We are picking problems to work on that highlight injustice, bring about change, or impart scientific knowledge. We are also working with multiple nonprofit organizations doing good to boost their impact for a brighter future.
